Tremp Saltsman has been growing Christmas trees for thirty years on the property that has been in his family for generations. Throughout the year he looks after the trees growing on the property. He looks forward to seeing the smiles on everyone’s face every December when they come back year after year for trees. Make sure to say hi to him when you stop by.
Leighanne Saltsman is Tremp’s oldest daughter.. She and her husband Hiland Hall were married on the farm and now live in Brooklyn. They make the trek up to the farm every week-end to help decorate wreaths, bale trees and most importantly, make sure everyone gets fed at lunchtime.
Janna Saltsman is the younger of the two Saltsman girls. She and her fiance Kevin Tirberio (not pictured… yet) are also on hand regularly throughout the year to help keep the trees growing happily. As soon as they are finished with Thanksgiving dinner, they get to work on building our wreaths and other decorations. Kevin and Janna will be married next year.
Mike Grecco used to bring his family to the farm every year to buy a tree. Last season Tremp asked him to come on board with the rest of us because his Christmas spirit was sure to rub off on everyone that comes to visit. When he’s not helping out at the farm, he’s probably either skiing or waiting for it to snow… so he can go skiing.
